Return Policy

First and foremost, we want happy, satisfied customers!

Almost all of our products are made to order, according to your specifications. As all of our products are handmade to order, we do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges.

The Aegis Forge cannot be held responsible for returned packages and/or that are lost in transit. If a customer refuses delivery, any fees associated with or charged by the shipping provider as well as any other fees incurred will be deducted from the refund issued to the customer. This also includes any shipping charges and/or shipping charges that were received as a discount or promotion.

Cancellation Policy
Can I change or cancel my order? We do not offer cancellations on any custom orders. If you'd like to change your order contact us within 24 hours of ordering, these changes made within the first 24 hours will not be charged. Mid order changes will be charged a $25 fee, if changes can be made. We cannot guarantee the ability to change an order. Please email changes orders@theaegisforge.com.


Monogram policy

How does monogramming work?

Every monogram is stamped by hand, letter by letter. Each monogram is unique, and small variations in spacing and alignment are normal with hand-stamped items. All of the letters we use for embossing are the same size and are all capital letters.

We can stamp letters, numbers. When you order a monogrammed item, please double-check your spelling and syntax, as we’ll emboss exactly what you specify.

How can I make a special monogramming request?

Please let us know before you place your order if you have specific requests about the placement of the embossing on your tag, key fob, or other item, including requests about the placement of the monogram.

No item is eligible for return or exchange based on the placement or orientation of text or stamps, and customized items are ineligible for return or exchange.


Warranty Policy

We take pride in our craftsmanship and warranty our stitching and integrity of the leather for one year from purchase date. If the stitching or integrity of the leather on your product fails, please email us at orders@theaegisforge.com

Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, neglect or accidents. Here are some examples of what is not covered under our warranty policy:

  • Stains or color transfer from clothing dye, beverages, or inclement weather

  • Damage from pets

  • Scratches, soiled spots, or marks from normal use

  • Discoloration or dampness from storage

  • Damage from adhesives

  • Lost or stolen items

  • Exposure to chemicals or other products

  • Improper care


Shipping
We ship all orders via USPS. Please note that the postal service is currently experiencing delays nationwide due to an unprecedented volume of mail.

All items are handmade and made to order! That means that it takes some time for the production team to prepare your order. The processing time for your order will depend on which item(s) you order, and in some cases, how many items you purchase. Typical processing times are as follows:

  • Tote bags: 1 to 3 weeks

  • Mini totes: 1 to 3 weeks

  • Crossbody bags: 1 to 3 weeks

  • Messenger bags: 1 to 3 weeks

  • Carryalls: 1 to 4 weeks

  • Wallets: 1 to 2 weeks

  • Clutches and zip pouches: 1 to 3 weeks

  • Belts: 1 to 2 weeks

  • Key accessories: 1 week

  • Travel accessories: 1 week

  • Custom and bulk orders: 2 to 4 weeks

If you need your order by a specific date or have an occasion in mind, please let us know – we won't know that you have a deadline unless you tell us! Similarly, if your order is a gift and you don’t want a packing slip included (or if you’d like to add a gift message) please let us know! Send a message to orders@theaegisforge.com with your order number as soon as you can after placing your order.

We don't offer shipping guarantees, and the delivery times above are estimates. We’ll do our best to get your order shipped in time to arrive by the date you need it. But unfortunately, we can’t control the speed with which the USPS processes or delivers your shipment, and we aren’t responsible for USPS delays.

If we have any questions about your order, we'll send an email to the email address on file with your order. Please keep an eye out for any emails from the The Aegis Forge team: If we have a question about your order and don't hear back from you, that may result in a delay.

Holiday shipping and studio closures

This year, our deadline to place an order in time for it to arrive before Christmas is December 8. Orders placed on or before December 8 will ship by December 18 or December 19, the USPS deadlines for First Class and Priority Mail, respectively, to be delivered on or before December 24.

Our cutoff for holiday orders isn't usually quite so early, but we moved up our deadline to account for delays in the USPS network. Unfortunately, we don't have any control over the speed with which the postal service, including our local post office, scans or processes packages. As always, our best advice is to order early if you know that you need your items by a specific date.

The Aegis Forge team will be out of the studio from December 21 through January 4 to celebrate the holidays and take some time off, so orders will not be shipping during that time. We will begin fulfilling orders again on January 5, when the team will be back in the studio.

Shipping in the United States

All The Aegis Forge products are made in America, right in our home in Warrenton, Oregon, and shipping to addresses within the continental United States is free for all orders over $200.

Orders shipped within the continental United States typically ship via USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class Mail, depending on the size of the shipment. Once you receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information, you can check the USPS website, or contact the postal service for more information on the location of the shipment and its expected delivery date.

Shipping internationally

We're happy to ship your order internationally, or to your address at a military base or diplomatic location. Our shipping page can calculate the cost for you based on the weight of the shipment and the location of delivery.

If you don't see what you need at checkout, or if you have questions about your shipping options, get in touch by sending an email to orders@theaegisforge.com. We'd be happy to coordinate details for you and figure out the best shipping method for your location. The two most popular choices are Priority Mail International and Priority Mail Express International. In our experience, First Class International packages move much, much more slowly than Priority Mail shipments.

Expedited shipping

In some circumstances, we may be able to expedite your order, either by speeding up the processing time or upgrading the shipping method or both. Expedited shipping is available via USPS Priority Mail Express, the fastest method offered by the postal service. Additional charges apply, and typically total about $35 for addresses in the continental United States.

Please reach out to orders@theaegisforge.com right away if you think that you want to expedite an order. Not all orders can be expedited. Especially around the holidays, we have a very limited ability to expedite orders. At any one time, our production and shipping queues are hundreds of orders long. We can’t let someone skip that line if it will result in delays for other customers.

Delivery date estimates and USPS delays

While the postal service provides an expected delivery timeframe, we aren't able to guarantee a delivery date. All delivery times are estimates, as the USPS is ultimately responsible for the delivery of your shipment. Once we hand over a shipment to our mail carrier or deliver it to our local post office, we don't have control over the amount of time that it takes for the post office to process and deliver the package.

The Aegis Forge is not responsible for any delays on the part of the USPS. Especially during the holiday season, post office delays do happen. Unfortunately, we don’t have any control over how quickly the postal service scans and processes packages.

Address changes

The shipping address for your order will be exactly what you enter at checkout. It's important for you to check that your address is correct before you submit the order, we are not responsible for a missing delivery if you enter the incorrect address for your order.

Unfortunately, we cannot cover the cost of shipping your order twice. If your order is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, you will be invoiced for the cost of reshipping it.

Please double-check your shipping address before you submit your order. Due to the limitations of the fraud protection policy of our payment processing platform, we are unable to change the shipping address on your order after it's submitted.


Holiday shipping

The holidays are the busiest time of the year for The Aegis Forge, and processing times are longest during the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. To ensure that you know what to expect, please look for the current processing time on each product page, and look out for our cutoff for placing an order in time for Christmas. Because everything is handmade and made to order, we can’t take an unlimited number of orders and we set our holiday order cutoff with the capacity of the production and shipping teams (as well as any expected USPS delays) in mind.

We make and ship items in the order in which they were purchased. For that reason, we only have a limited ability to expedite orders during the holiday season. Please check the expected processing times when you place your order, and place your order early to allow plenty of time for your item(s) to be made and shipped.
